This can be difficult to recognize and treatment sometimes involves additional variables and different areas of the body. Yeah, sometimes you have to fix the big toe to make the upper extremity work! The FIRST secret to successful healing is believing you will get better and continually searching until you find the TEAM that works best with you! The body goes where the MIND takes it!! If your mind says you will not get better then surprise you will not get better. We call these “Thought Viruses!” And we need to remember that thoughts are nerve signals too!
The SECOND secret to successful healing is successful SLEEPING! Yes, you read that right! Without restful sleep the best practitioners in the world will struggle to help you!
So, are you sleeping well?

The THIRD secret is successful hydration! Dehydration has been linked to headaches, joint pain, Migraines, muscle cramps, and even Fibromyalgia. Factors that must be considered include simply not drinking enough water (start with 1/2 your body weight in ounces), drinking diuretics (i.e. coffee, tea, etc., you will need to add back these ounces with water), some medications i.e. water pills, some blood pressure meds (check with MD before changing medications), and consuming a diet high in protein or fats i.e. Paleo or now popular Keto (the by product Urea is also a diuretic). These will increase your requirements for water.
The Fourth secret is optimized nutrition! It is fairly main stream now that the typical American diet is pro inflammation and we know that chronically elevated levels of inflammation reek havoc on our systems and making us more sensitive to PAIN. Something I reflect about a lot here is since Pain is just a CHECK Engine Light, could it simply be telling me that I’m low on water or Vitamin C or Vitamin D or Omega 3 fatty acids or zinc or selenium or probiotics. These have all been shown to correlate with osteoarthritis and autoimmune disease.

The Fifth secret is successful breathing! Wait a minute Paul!! I haven’t passed out yet so I must be successfully breathing, right! Well, you may be getting some oxygen in the lungs but are you doing so in a way that makes you relaxed and calm or uptight and tense.
Most of the current population breathe into their chests! This is wrong!
