As the leaders in sports medicine care, the Cincinnati Sports-Medicine and Orthopaedic Center physicians spent over 10 years developing a comprehensive jump training program combining a dynamic warm-up, plyometrics, strength training and flexibility. This scientifically proven program reduces injuries and improves performance for sports like soccer, basketball and volleyball that involve pivoting, cutting or jumping.

2012’s Camp features plyometrics, speed & agility, strength, and flexibility.

This camp is designed to increase speed, agility, vertical jump, jump mechanics, and decrease risk for an ACL tear (knee injury).

What are the benefits of this summer camp? Increases in speed, agility, vertical jump, jump mechanics and most importantly decreasing the risk for an ACL tear.

Can you please include a brief description of this summer camp, with some details?  We will have pre and post video of jump mechanics and vertical jump along with speed times.  Every day we will start with a warm up, dynamic warm up, plyometrics training designed to progress our athletes from double leg jumps to single leg plyos over the time of the program. Speed and agility drills ranging from the speed ladder, cone drills, dot drills and vertimax depending on the week of training.  Strength training will focus on full body training and education of mechanics and fundamentals.  We will start with body weight exercises and progress to exercise balls, medicine balls, TRX, dumbells, sandbags, and dumbbells. We will end every session with flexibility and recovery.  This will include stretching with stretch straps and foamrolling education.  Every movement and exercise is designed to develop proper muscle memory and mechanics.

This summer camp is the one that is for female athletes? Yes, but it is also very beneficial for male athletes as well.
