Paul received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force in 1995 and went on to Colorado State University (CSU) completing both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Exercise and Sport Science with a Sports Medicine Concentration. While at CSU, worked as an athletic trainer with the varsity football and track and field athletes providing sports medicine coverage fir injury prevention and rehabilitation. Had the opportunity to work with some excellent athletes and participate in the 1999 and 2000 Liberty Bowl’s and then also get up close to Lord Stanley’s Cup in 2000-2001.
