Describe the essence of what you do in your role at Valeo PT “Aide in guiding patients to unlock their own healing potentials.” What are some of your personal interests, outside of work? “Reading and studying ways to have a personal intimate relationship with God. I enjoy home interior decorating. I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, hanging out at Lake Travis, and of course Longhorn football!” What are some things you believe in? What is your favorite quote or words of wisdom? “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and I could say,” I used everything you gave me.” What do you like most about working for Valeo PT? “I love working at Valeo because everyday is a new adventure. We help our patients get to where they want to be.” What do you like most about caring for patients? “Not only do I enjoy educating patients on how to improve their function. I love the role I play as a mentor and confidant, to each individuals personal journey to healing. I LEARN so much from my patients as well. Their courage and will of moving forward even when they may be hurting, gives me great strength to press forward in difficult situations.” Why did you choose to become a physical therapist/assistant/this position? “I had a close relationship with my therapist from age 12 – 18 because of my many injuries. He gave me hope when I was hopeless, and I wanted to be that hope for others.” What do you think patients like most about you? “We are a close knit work family that can have fun while getting the job done. Patients know that their well being is our up most concern and we strive to surpass their expectations in all areas, from the waiting room experience to their discharge day.” |
Physical Therapist Assistant
At Valeo, I aid in the healing process by administering treatment within the plan of care and ultimately educating and teaching “you,” the patient, how to diminish or manage current symptoms and how to prevent future injuries.
My personal interests include:
I LOVE UT Football, watersports or hanging out at the lake, playing with my 2 kids, spending time in Colorado.
I believe “You are never a loser until you quit trying.”
My favorite quote is “I’m not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I’m not dumb…I also know that I’m not blonde.”
What I like most about working for Valeo is that it feels like a caring “family” atmosphere that is supportive, and allows room for individual growth.
I like caring for patients because I enjoy being their hope and encouragement during recovery, then sharing their joy of difficult, well-earned accomplishments.
I chose to become a Physical Therapist because growing up playing multiple sports; I suffered from many athletic injuries. I became very acquainted with my physical therapist “Doug.” Over the years Dough felt like part of my family. He got me back to playing sports and I decided then as a teenager, I wanted to help others with similar injuries.
I think patients like me because we have fun while getting the job done.
