Physical Therapy Tech
Describe the essence of what you do in your role at Valeo PT “I assist the therapist and aid patients during recovery from an injury, surgery, or a limiting physical condition. I provide skilled, compassionate, and innovative care to patients so they are able to return to activities of daily living with fewer limitations, increased ROM, decrease pain, greater confidence, more independence, and increased sensation. It is my goal to enhance every patient’s life and quality of existence by promoting wellness.” What are some of your personal interests, outside of work? “I LOVE playing tennis! I enjoy running, swimming, kayaking, fishing with my dad, boating, water skiing and snow skiing. I enjoy attending church and I’m so happy to have found new church home at Gateway so soon after moving to the area. I also love to bake and cheerfully support the Houston Astros!” What are some things you believe in? What is your favorite quote or words of wisdom? “May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.” -Saint Terese of Liseaux” What do you like most about working for Valeo PT? “I enjoy the willingness of the PTs to actively teach me the reasoning behind a certain treatment method. I like the friendly atmosphere created by the staff and patients. My favorite part is getting to know each patient and learning about their personal interests. I’m looking forward to becoming more familiar with all of the equipment and learning to use everything to its best potential for our patients.” What do you like most about caring for patients? “I enjoy seeing my patients multiple times a week and keeping up with stories about their families, friends, and in general what is going on in their lives. I like to offer encouragement to patients and extend to them hope for complete recovery.” Why did you choose to become a PT Tech? “Growing up I was always interested in the medical field. After considering a few different avenues I began working as PT tech and fell in love with the profession, I can no longer imagine myself doing anything else. Physical Therapy and caring for patients has truly become my passion and I believe it is exactly what I was purposed for. Ultimately it’s my greatest desire to help others, physical therapy allows me the opportunity to offer emotional support in combination with physical healing.” What do you think patients like most about you? “Patients like my willingness to listen to their concerns and genuine compassion. I think our patients like the efficiency and effectiveness of the treatment they receive during their time spent at Valeo.” |
